All of those are true. Good job leaf!
I used to put yellow sticky notes all over the house saying affirmations like “you are important” “you are strong” etc. One day I went in the bathroom and my daughter put one up that said “you are the best mom ever”
Aaww, what a little sweet heart.
I’m finding comfort in writing them, and reading others.
This’ll be my home for them daily if I can. I never thought about post-it’s, I had the mental image of sticking one on my fiancée that says “do not piss off”.
I am going to try hard in therapy and work to change my negative outlook.
I am going to piece my life back together.
I am going to move out of this toxic environment to be with someone who shows me more love than I feel like I deserve (but I do deserve it, bonus affirmation, haha).
I believe you can do it! Good one Komaeda!
My go to affirmations:
- You are a human being
- Your worth is intrinsic to yourself and not dependent on your productivity
- your hair is on point
- your appearance does not determine your identity
- you don’t need to pass to be authentic
- you have people who love you and support you
Good ones ninja!
I’ve gotten my son to start giving himself affirmations also. We have a rule in the Star house. If you insult yourself or someone else, you have to give that person one compliment. If you joke about wanting to die, you have to say one reason you’re glad to be alive.
That’s great! I’d like to see more people able to compliment themselves, myself included.
We all need positive self talk!
I am a wonderful pianist.
I am healthy.
I am holy.
I am calm.
As my group leader tells us all
You are worth it!!
I’d love to hear you play someday! Good ones skinny!
Yes we are, we should all do our best to remember that.
You matter too!
You don’t need to be nervous talking to the big bad mod!
She’s not going to ban you
You are handsome.
God doesn’t hate you.
Your voices are meaningless.
You are kind to everyone.
The government isn’t controlling your thoughts.
You have a great personality with many beautiful qualities.
Nobody can read your mind.
You are not being stalked.
Your sadness will subside.
There is love and happiness in your .
A lot of those hit home. Good to know I’m not alone in some of these thoughts.
Oh I surely won’t. One of the easiest ways to get on our good side is to start a Health and Recovery topic.
Yay! I’ve got a golden ticket! Time to start encouraging delusions and marketing my organic APs!
Hint: they’re a proprietary blend of salts, red woolen shirt, and sand. I call it Ooorgle ointment.
You are fabulous
You are beautiful
You are loved
You are ill, but are capable enough
My self talk has definitely gotten stronger over the past few years.
If you put yourself in a meditative stance, and repeat your affirmations, they are more likely to work.
A psychiatrist told me this process ‘engraves’ these sayings into your mind.
