with temps in the teens f. tonight I have to stay up to make sure I light the heater unit when it goes off or it’s going to get incredibly cold in the house…can’t just wait until morning…can’t sleep when it’s that cold…so i will nap during the day…

well it’s going to have to happen sometime tonight…I guess I’ll try and get some sleep around three a m or so if the heater changes and starts running longer…still around an hour and a half right now between lightings.
what kind of heater do you have?
can i see a picture please? I can’t think of any burner that needs lighting every hour…
no photo capability sorry…my phone won’t allow it…it’s a wall mounted gas heater unit that is started by a battery operated pilot lighter…no electricity needed…which is fortunate when there isn’t power there is still heat…but the unit is flawed…this is my third time with three different units and all had this problem…then they just won’t light at all…I’m waiting for this unit to do the same thing…land lord won’t go to the city and get a diff. model is my problem…

In the uk it is illegal to not have uitilities like hot water and heating working.
Surely, there is the same in the USA?
I say that but i have hot water abnd heating but my boiler is not working properly either. I have to top it up every morninng, burt my landlord says i have hot water and heating so it is enough.
