Our stove and new heater are hooked up. My father in law hooked them up. He turned off the gas so my partner after my birthday couldn’t make my cake a few weeks ago.
What the ■■■■ you’ve been without heat this whole time?! Call your case manager. Get them arrested for abuse. Take your money and move into a nice place of your own.

We had an edenpure electric heater but it didn’t work for more than the kitchen and bedroom/ living room. Luckily we’re starting the renovation to the bathroom only have to pay for half and since we’re not doing the whole bathroom it’s going to cost less. We finally convinced them were never going to raise all that money to do the bathroom they wanted. So three hundred from both sides. My partner worked a bunch of over time and earned the money. She also too jasper to the vet for for his follow up. He’s ok now bit the tech though. She deserved it tried to come from above facing him to pick him up and he chomped.

They are your landlords. Legally, you shouldn’t pay a dime for renovations. They’re legally obligated to keep things up to date for you.

Full disclosure: Not only do I now hate your partner’s abusive parents, I have very little use for your partner at this point. I would NOT tolerate anyone treating Mrs. Squirrel in the fashion you are – I’d go to war.
