My social worker suggested to my pdoc that I try olanzapine. For anyone who’s been on it, what was your dosage? I want to be on the minimum effective dose.
i gained 10-20 lbs a month on olanzapine even on 5 mg, the last time i was on it i was on 15 mg and gained 170 lbs

Zyprexa has been good for me. Better side effect profile than risperdal and seems to me to be a lot less " Heavy" on my mind. I’ve actually lost on zyprexa and gained on risperdal but we are all different. I take 10mgs now. I was on 7.5mgs but seems that 10 is good for me. Way less brain fog and it seems to me to be less problematic to those I’ve tried…risperdal and abilify.

I’m on 7.5mg. Any higher gives me side effects. Any lower and the voices get mean. I’ve gained about 20 pounds over a year and a half on it, but I don’t really exercise.
