Which one is worse in your experience? OCD or SZ…

I have both, and I would say that both are bad and it just depends on how well you tolerate the medication and how much time and energy you put into therapy.

I say SZ is worse
Man I have both too and the ocd for me is far more debilitating than the delusions… I guess they work together but intrusive thoughts make me feel humiliation

Yeah, neither is really fun. I had OCD so bad that it caused PTSD, but still, schizophrenia to me while unmedicated is far worse than OCD. But that’s just me, there’s not a one size fits all for debilitating mental disorders.

I have both and although OCD is pretty bad it’s not worse than SZ

Yea I was just rethinking it and they are both pretty bad. For me tho… the OCD is a lot more emotionally painful… But that’s just my experience.

Comparisons are futile. Even if one is worse and one isnt its still according to the individual perception of that.

I think the OCD is worse, the intrusive thoughts and violent obsessions. I hate it.

My OCD has lessened a lot lately. I started supplementing inositol about 2 months ago. It has research behind it that it alleviates OCD.
At the same time research says that antipsychotics deplete inositol, especially zyprexa which I am taking.

I have both. I’m starting to see the OCD as a blessing and curse, not just a curse. It pushes me to do more extreme things than a more (sane?) person might do lol.
What things did it push you to do?
@anon31960475 It pushes me to do a very unique form of exercise. One that most people steer clear of because it’s too hard. Incredibly taxing on the body.
It also makes me chase goals/dreams because I know it requires a high standard of character. If that makes sense. I think it’s just perception, glass half full or half empty sort of thing with the cards you’re dealt.

I definitely feel that man! I guess that would be my experience if I could actually rise above it! In my life ocd kicks my ass🤦🏾
