Obama care is it just another insurance scam

I don’t know what committee wrote my brochure but this is ridiculousis anybody having troubleunderstanding lease brochuresand how they may help you as social workersin a home health environmental situation

Is it an improvement on what it was?

I don’t know enough about it… but I have some family members who would love to debate this topic in great detail.

Being Australian, I can’t understand America’s health-care system. We have free public health-care - you get sick, you go to a public hospital, you get treated with either zero or very low cost.

How does it work in the USA if you are poor and uninsured?

if you are poor and uninsured, thanks to Obamacare, if you dont have insurance, you have to pay some odd amount of money for each house, and each person in the house. Which doesn’t make sense. If you are poor and can’t afford health insurance, you can’t pay the fee/whatever it is. Obama is breakign the world down and pissing everyone off. That wanker.

Here is a simple explanation of Obamacare: For the first time most poor and uninsured people in the US can actually get heathcare and people with a pre-existing condition (like schizophrenia) can for the first time get insurance and early treatment - this seems like a good thing.

I’m actually a bit scared…

I have a kid sis who has studied this 1,000 page document of the Affordable care act and has become a bit obsessed by it. Three years of “Youth In Government” group has made her a bit passionate about this sort of stuff…

I’m really afraid when people mention it… the tsunami is coming.

My girlfriend has Obamacare. I voted for Obama and republicans all they can say is what a bad president he is when Obamacare helps millions have care when they couldn’t get it before. The Rich hate Obama because he stands for helping the lower and middle class. The top 2% are buying elections (trying to anyways) and democrats still win elections. If the republicans gain control of the Senate in November they are going to impeach Obama. What a shame that Obama has had to deal with this racist party against him.

The only thing to be scared about is that the US might be joining the rest of the first world in providing all its citizens with health-care, regardless of income or employment status. I don’t know how much of it was true given that I’ve never lived in the US, but that Michael Moore documentary about America’s health care system (or lack there of) left me speechless. It’s the one thing that makes me proud to live in Australia…no matter what your income is, if you get cancer, for example, your treatment will largely be the same.

My brother complains about now having to pay for his family health insurance. He doesn’t like the Affordable Care Act, even though it finally got his children coverage they wouldn’t have had cause he didn’t want to pay for it. The one he should be pissed at is his employer who doesn’t provide insurance coverage to his employees.

I remember reading that the guy who owns Papa John’s was complaining that he’d have to raise the price of a pizza by $0.19 to give all his employees health coverage. What a jerk, nineteen freaking cents.

I think it’s a good system, force everyone to have insurance, even those who don’t think they need it like the young or foolish. Use the money earned to help those who can’t afford it or wouldn’t be allowed due to pre-existing conditions.
