I think dads got depression. He doesn’t pay bills on time and just sleeps or sits in front of the TV. He hated TV. My brother and I found something disturbing in his browser history too. He doesn’t help like he used to. He has a history of prostate cancer. I want him to see someone quick and I mean he should spend money coz the waiting list is long. But my mum said we’ve got bills to pay for our houses. I am willing to pay for him. Doesn’t health come first ?? But nooooo no one listens to me. He’s getting worse.
I understand what you’re going as I’m pretty sure my mother is codependent. She simply won’t look after herself, even brush her teeth most days, for example. It even drove my Dad crazy. I’m half tempted to take her to the hospital. Just trying not to blame myself for this because she’s been like this for years.
That’s sad. Something definitely sounds wrong. I hope he’s ok.

I doubt that would help. Then his doctor probably would just mistrust most of what you say since he might assume you were delusional.

Can you and your brother talk directly to your father and convince him to see a doctor? Yes, health does come first.

He’s already been to the GP but afraid he’s not being taken seriously.
My brother tells me not to even bring a dr into it because that would make him worse
