Was feeling great the other day until I had some pie and brownies. Completely ruined my state of mind. No more sugar for me.
I caved and had two sodas today

My blood sugar is 274 atm. Stupid carbs.
I started dieting by losing the sugar and then moved to other things. It really does help and you get used to having tea or coffee without. Coffee has a bit more bitter of a taste and I don’t even have milk because I’m off the carbs.
As with any dietary choice I’d recommend checking your bloods with a gp. Get your blood pressure and all that checked as well. It’s still a worthwhile thing to do.
I know it’s hard but I think moderation is key. Excess leads to deficiency. But deficiency also leads to excess. If you cut it out all together you may find yourself binging on it later. I’d set a goal and maintain it. Doesn’t have to be granulated sugar could be honey or maple syrup…like just 1 or a couple teaspoons a day. Nothing on earth is evil. It’s how we use it that’s bad. I went off the tracks with sugar too the other day. Need to get back on track. It’s not easy on antipsychotics
Sugar is everywere into almost all foods. But do not forget, carbs turn into glucose as well, it is just that sugar is more direct.
I quit sugar also and even if from time to time I indulge with something, i am looking for low sugar products and is best to keep it with with fruits and fructose.

I’m substituting granulated sugar with honey but it’s not much better
I avoid too much sugary stuff because it upsets my stomach. So does sugar-free if I have more than a very small amount. I can do my little sugar-free protein drink, but only once a day, or it’s too much. Because I’m brilliant and decided that the best way to adjust my schedule was to wake up really early and drink caffeine to stay awake!
But I’m all for hopping on the no more sugar train.
I’m off sugar and feeling and doing great! I’m sleeping better than I ever have before in my life. And fruit tastes better now than it ever has before since childhood. So now I’m eating fruit again. It’s a different life altogether. Im now convinced that sugar is poison.

I’m learning to love fruit, too! It started with strawberries (which I have never, ever liked as a fruit), then blueberries! I already liked apple, and I like bananas with bran flakes already, too. But the strawberry/blueberry thing blows my mind because I genuinely didn’t like them as whole fruit by themselves. I think I’ll try peaches and pears next! I know they are considered sugary fruits, but they are so much better for me than other junk. Yay fruit!
I kinda drop sugar and other stuff, like coffee, milk, and try to stay away from gluten. All those drop my energy level over the day.
Maybe it happend since I was vegan for the past few years and my absorbtion went bad.
What ever works for you… that’s the best way to do it.
true good point Actually i agree kinda about processed sugar. When i say sugar i mean natural stuff like honey, maple syrup etc. That stuff i think a little is okay. But if somone cut out the processed sugar id agree with that

I agree!!! I had a couple of the most absolutely delicious peaches the other day! So soft, sweet and juicy! Yummm!!
