It seems like phone calls here that start with 669 are scammers. I keep answering them though because I know air least one of my doctors has a 669 number. When I answer those calls I try to be polite and say no thanks to whatever they’re offering but I’m sick of these calls when I say hello and no one answers. And just now a lady tried to scam me by inventing a car accident I was never in so she said I could collect compensation. When I said I haven’t been in a accident in two years she hung up on me. That was rude, this means war, from now on I’m either not going to answer these calls or if I do and I suspect they’re scammers I’ll just hang up on them.
Do what Jerry Seinfeld did on his show. When a telemarketer asked if he’d be interested in a subscription to the New York times, he said; Yes, I would! Then hung up. But they’d probably call back.
I do various things when they call. Usually I ask if its about a Lovehoney order, and that I tried to cancel my order of dildos. Or if its the “did you have an accident” guys I tell them I was walking through the forest and got hit by the Ninky Nonk and that Ive never recovered from it.
Have fun with them!
In one episode he told the guy he would call him back at the guys house. The guy said no and Jerry said, “Oh you probably don’t want somebody annoying you at your house. The guy said yeah and Jerry says, “Now you know how I feel” and hung up.
Yeah, the accident call is a new one, it started about a month ago it seems like.
Do you have voicemail? A doctor’s office will leave a voicemail.
Also, put the doctor’s phone number in your contacts with their name.
You know when I called some one in US he had an option in his phone, we need to tell the automated machine why am I calling and from where. Only then he would get a call. But not sure how that works ![]()
