Nicotine harder to kick than heroin

I went from a pack a day to nothing last July. It’s been what three and a half months now without any smoking? Everyone said I’d feel great but I feel like ■■■■. I constantly have dreams where I smoke cigarettes and feel incredible then I wake up and realize I can’t.

When I was a few months off smoking, Mrs. Jayster asked me to go back to smoking.

I was mostly venting, I’m staying off of the cigarettes no matter what because I need that money to save for a car. Also without smoking there’s nothing imminent about my health to worry about, as doctors still consider 38 to be fairly young. So that’s a huge load off my shoulders.

Maybe I’m just not over it yet. I wonder if how long one has smoked before quitting has anything to do with it. I had smoked for about 15 years.

When they do risk assessment for smokers, they talk about pack years.
