Should I add hair to it? I didn’t want to ruin it, I’m not the best at drawing hair.

I would probably go with your gut—No hair!
Or you could make some copies of this drawing and first practice the hair on the copies.

I look at it and imagine just a shape drawn as a pencil line of hair without any details.

Yes, I like his artwork. I think I’ve only been to an art museum once in my life, so I haven’t seen much famous artwork other than when I used to take art class. I never liked that class much. I like to draw what I want, I’m not a fan of a teacher telling you what to draw and what medium to use.
