New meds Latuda

I saw my pdoc today and got prescribed some new medications. I am now taking Latuda instead of seroquel and Lyrica instead of gabapentin. Has anyone had any experience with Latuda? I am hoping it doesn’t give me weird dreams like seroquel. My delusions are really bad today and I am hoping it will help.

I like Latuda but I take a low dose. I really take Geodon for my psychosis. It works but it has a short half life. The Latuda fills in the gaps and it helps with my mood and negative symptoms.

I see it advertised all the time on TV for bipolar depression. They really don’t advertise for schizophrenia but I am sure it works.

I have a lot of side effects from Geodon so I would eventually like to be on just Latuda. It put a little weight on me but no other side effects.

I take Latuda 120mg. I am sza and it helps. I am less paranoid, I think, and the intrusive thoughts are a little better. The only thing I don’t like about it is you have to eat 350 calories when you take it. Other than that, it’s been pretty good so far.

Geodon and Latuda are supposed to be really similar.

Latuda was approved for schizophrenia a few years before it was approved for bipolar disorder. They don’t do marketing campaigns for schiz meds so now the website and all advertising is all focused on bipolar. They couldn’t sell stuff if it was associated with schiz.

The Latuda is helping a lot today. I am worried about a side effect I had though. Have you ever experienced headaches on Latuda? I couldn’t find much about it online but it was a terrible headache I got in the afternoon. I am almost certain it was the the Latuda.

I had headaches once and I can’t remember if I was on Latuda or not. The VA gave me a cat scan. I think they thought it was Wellbutrin but I didn’t stop it.

The cats can was fine and the headaches just stopped.

I had a couple of migraines when I was young before I got sick but these weren’t migraines.
