Need to stop drinking coffee

It causes so much anxiety and GI distress!

But everyday I can’t help myself.

I went a couple years drinking only tea, which worked out well, but about 6 months ago I had a glass of iced coffee and spent the whole morning cleaning. It felt good to get things done.

Ugh. I wish it didn’t make me feel so anxious!

I’ve recently given up coffee and now feel super anxious. I’m hoping it’s just a withdrawal symptom.

But like you said, that first coffee you have after being off it can rope you back in. Then you just build a tolerance to it and it does more harm than good, at least to some people.

Why not decaff. I made the switch because too much caffeine gave me ocular migraine and no sleep. I drink LOTS of coffee but all decaff at home now.

I was abusing it and it nearly led me to hypomania. Now I drink decaffeinated and cocoa milk. As Gollum said try decaf or substitute it again with tea or something else. Withdrawal symptoms are mostly headache and sleepiness but go away after 10 days

Yup. It’s like a little honeymoon period. Lasted like a week for me.

Sorry you’re feeling anxious from the withdrawal. Hopefully that passes and you can start feeling better again.

I might try some iced decaf. I wonder if they sell bottles of decaf cold brew…

That sounds pretty good.

I only drink 1 cup in the morning, if I have more I get anxious.

For me I foundout its the milk thats giving me gi distress. I need to use lactose free milk to avoid that.

I wish they made lactose free chocolate milk.

Edit: I just found out it exists, its recent as a few years ago it did not exist. I want it sugar free too though.
