Coffee is ruining my life and I can't quit because I'm addicted

I’m just not going to order any more coffee pods. When they run out, they run out and that’s it. I’m too sensitive to strong coffee. I wake up feeling completely depressed (a coffee hangover).

I’ve got about a month’s worth of coffee pods left though :frowning:

Try a stimulatory amino acid like L Tyrosine.

If you like the taste try switching to Decaf.

Just try to decrease it gradually that way you won’t have withdrawl. Limit yourself so that you only have a coffee when you have a meal

Or have it whenever you want but pour half in another cup then only drink 1

You can do it man! I find apples pick me up quite well. Believe me I probably used to drink as much coffee as you and I now I barely have it. Do you drink it with sugar?

No sugar. Just straight espresso shots. I’ve pretty much decided I’ll just wait till all the pods are used up and then when there’s none in the house that’s it. Can’t drink them if I don’t have them.

Go for instant coffee. Less caffeine so not as harmful, but instant pleasure.

Your goinf to have some withdrawal symptoms. Might be rough. I might taper off of them gradually for the next month than doing it cold turkey. It’s like meds

Good luck. I successfully quit caffeine a few months ago. First, I switched to tea. Then, I switched to decaf tea. Then, I drank nothing, but took an excedrin (caffeine plus NSAID) when I was getting withdrawal headaches. It was hard work, and I sometimes need a nap in the afternoon now. But I think it was worth it to get rid of my dependency.

Coffeedrinkers are happier. I think they live longer. Coffeeconsumption in moderation of course.

Maybe theirs deficiencies in your diet that are causing you to be reliant on coffee. Don’t beat up on yourself for having difficulty quitting. The goal I think is to have a good healthy diet so that your energy levels are always up rather than relying on coffee to boost them whenever they get low. B vitamins are important in the conversion of food to energy; if you’re not getting enough of em energy will natural sag. You don’t wanna chug an atom bomb of b vitamins in the form of red bull or anything like that though, or else that will shoot you up and down throughout the day just as bad as coffee. Sources of b-vitamins include milk, eggs, fish…Supplements will help, but they aren’t absorbed as well as from food.

How about making your coffee with milk instead of water? Then maybe you’ll crave less

The pod machine I use has some control over the volume of coffee produced. I’ll try setting it lower as a means of cutting back before quitting entirely.
