Name the psychaitric hospital you were in and which country

I’ve been to two different hospitals in South Australia, one of them was amazing and one was horrible.

The amazing hospital had a shower and a sink in every room, and you could only access your own room with the wristband they gave you.so you felt safe there , there was also 2 different tv rooms and a PlayStation and Xbox. And the grounds where amazing.

The other hospital was horrible, you were locked in and couldn’t go outside, 2 bathrooms for 12 people which didn’t get cleaned often. You couldn’t smoke there either and people would get so angry about it.

But by far the worst thing was you had no lock on your door… so other patients could just barge into your room, I was assaulted there 3 times and one time had to get stitches. Patients would come in drug induced psychosis and start fighting people.

If you refused your meds you got dragged to the seclusion ward by big security guards (one time I refused sodium valproate as I hate that drug. In the seclusion room there was no toilet and it was a tiny room with just a mattress no pillows or rugs. They sometimes put you in there for over 24 hours, the guards would all pin you down and inject you in the shoulder , one time I had 4 big security guards on my back and I could barely breathe…

Sorry for the long post!

I’ve been to two hospitals in VIctoria, one public one private. I was off my head in both of them but in the public I was restrained in a room and injected with meds. Someone took my shoes, the nurses made fun of me after I was given Zyprexa because I wanted to eat a lot.

In the private one I was treated more carefully even though I was really ill. My pdoc there is still my pdoc and he is so chilled out.

I haven’t been to a psych ward in 14 years now, doing my best to stay well.

I am a mad Carlton supporter (we suck) but I don’t like cricket. Who do you support?

I’ve been in two different hospitals both in the United States. One in New Jersey and one in Idaho.

I’m also a mad supporter! of port Adelaide power. On my cupboard I have a Power 1997 sticker I got out of the paper(97 is when they started. And I was only 6 then

I’ve actually been to the MCG for an AFL grand final! Shame it was 2007 not 2004 lol. We drove all the the way to Melbourne to watch port lose by 119 points. :frowning:

I have a soft spot for Carlton, they are the team my grandpa and mum like. I reckon you guys will climb the ladder this year! Curnow and Cripps are great players to watch. Plus with the draft deal you guys did with the Crows I hope you finish above them.

Ha ett gott nytt år!

I was admitted to a hospital in Adelaide. Back in 2015.

So was I! I’ve been to QEH, Glenside and flinders what about you ?

I won’t list names or exact locations, but I will say I’ve had eleven psych stays, all in the USA, in the midwest and mid-Atlantic regions.

I dont remember the name.

Been to five hospitals in Cape Town.
Two private clinics - Crescent Clinic and Claro Clinic
Two government psychiatric hospitals - Stikland (twice) and Valkenberg (three times)
And a government general hospital - Victoria (three times)

Had no complaints at any of them

A shitty and stupid doctors hospital lol
