My TD has virtually disappeared!

To make a long story short, my doctor diagnosed me with Tardive Dyskinesia and prescribed me a TD medication called Austedo.
I took it for almost 2 months but recently stopped taking it because of chronic stomach upset and diarrhea.
Since stopping this med I noticed that my hand shaking and tongue sucking has basically disappeared!
Occasionally when I’m stressed out I’ll notice some minor TD symptoms but for the most part TD is no longer a problem for me!
It’s amazing!
Hopefully it lasts…

Did you reduce the dose of your AP?

Yes I was thinking the same thing @everhopeful
I reduced it from 4 to 3mg of Risperdal but this was like 4 months ago.

I notice that some minor TD symptoms temporarily act up when I’m under stress/anxious
But it’s short lived

From copilot:

There is some evidence suggesting that Vitamin E might help alleviate symptoms of Tardive Dyskinesia (TD), a condition often caused by long-term use of antipsychotic medications43dcd9a7-70db-4a1f-b0ae-981daa162054. Studies have shown that Vitamin E can reduce symptoms in some patients, particularly those who haven’t responded well to standard treatments43dcd9a7-70db-4a1f-b0ae-981daa162054. However, the evidence is not conclusive, and more well-designed trials are needed to determine its effectiveness43dcd9a7-70db-4a1f-b0ae-981daa162054.

It’s always best to consult with a healthcare provider before starting any new supplement, especially if you’re dealing with a complex condition like TD. Would you like more information on other potential treatments for TD?
