My takeaways from a meeting with a therapist:

  1. I need to try to diversify my activities.
My activities consist of using schizophrenia forum, and playing some 4+2 blitz chess on chess24.(and participating in the lobby chat there)
Ideas for diversification include trying to read a newspaper, and trying to solve chess puzzles.
These ideas are tailored to my current condition.

  2. I need to closely watch my diet and do my utmost to eat only healthy stuff.

  3. I need to exercise whenever I can, to pounce on every opportunity to exercise.

  4. Quitting a medication should only be done under the supervision of a psychiatrist.

That sounds great! Can you do any mathematics? What about algebra or calculus or discrete math? I’m just saying because I like mathematics too. I read that John Nash’s son had to relearn to add and multiply columns and now he has a PhD. I watched a video of a girl who had to relearn from children’s books. I think she ended up graduating from Harvard.

Hey @insidemind !!
I used to be good at mathematics, after illness onset, but I don’t think it’s practical now.
The practical stuff is what I wrote I think.
I think mathematics is lost for me.
I love you mate!

OK an update.
Yesterday evening I exercised on an elliptical trainer.
Today I went to a mall and bought a newspaper.
I read 2 articles from it so far.

Good for you, Erez! I hope you continue to improve. From what you’ve been saying it seems like you are doing much better than you were just a few months ago.
