I’m having a hard time swallowing liquids like water and especially soda and other fluids.
I’m going to finally bring it up to my psychiatrist next week because it’s mostly due to the risperidone I’m taking.
It’s gotten to the point where I’m afraid of drinking bottled water for fear that I’ll start choking or breathing in the liquid.
WTF…
Trouble swallowing normally means you should seek urgent medical advice. I’m glad you’re going to bring it up.

I’m hoping that a small reduction in my AP dose will resolve the issue.
I would go to my gp and get a consult to a gastroenterologist or GI doctor, if it turns out not to be the meds. Not an ENT.

Yes seek help. It is also a side-effect of Rabies where people cannot swallow anymore water and have lots of saliva. A bat or even a special kind of tick can spread rabies if bitten.

Yeah I went out to a restaurant with my father and was choking on my cheeseburger.
I’m definitely going to bring it up with my pdoc.
There are medicines for that. I have trouble swallowing food but my pdoc wants me to have tests to see if it isn’t something else. I would be quite upset if I could not swallow water.
