I’ve been having trouble with swallowing lately.
It especially happens with liquids.
The medical term is called Dysphagia.
My throat - esophagus becomes relaxed and I start choking.
Yes it can be Antipsychotic induced.
I’m going to talk to my psychiatrist about it if it continues.
Anyone ever get this?

I swallow pretty well. Every once in awhile, swallowing lets me down.

Yeah get onto your doc. I’ve heard of it with parkinsons but antipsychotics can mimic some of those things.

I noticed it’s mainly with guzzling down water.
I hope I’m not developing a Neurological Disorder.
Yes and also feelings that I am being strangled.
It could be a side effect of the medication.
I also had jaw clenching and some other things but I was given benztrop by my psychiatrist which is said to help.
It can be scary but I believe there is help and talking to with your dr is s good idea.

Definitely discuss it with a doctor. You don’t want to inhale liquids or anything.
