Yeah, he looks cute and all but has the personality of Vlad the impaler. If you get close to him or say hi or anything, he rears bach his head, opens his beak in preparation to bite you and hisses.
I think my mom calls this one “Tweety”. She has had several. But we usually just call him “that damn bird”. As in, “can someone go shut that damn bird up?” lol. He particularly drives my autistic niece crazy if she she hears him. She usually keeps out living room door shut when she is here.
We had one when I was a kid called “Beethoven”. That one bit the heck out of my finger when I tried to get him to sit on it. Put a huge gouge into it. If you could get close enough to touch his tummy he would step onto your finger. I think this is the case with many. If they dont bite you first.
My little brother had a couple of these birds
Damn theyre annoying. We had alot of fun letting it out of its cage though only my Step Mom could get it back in the cage lol
I use to have a cockatiel. They are very good pets. They are very cute and funny. But it is hard to keep them content. For example, dogs are more content. That is why they chirp to loud and too often.
My aunt had a cockatiel for many years. Mean old buzzard too. I didn’t care for it. Guess I wouldn’t be too happy either if a stranger shoved their index finger in my face.
