My mom is against me intermitted fasting

she doesnt like me fasting she sais its bad for me but im doing it for all the benefits such as anti diabetic properties and also i want to live longer since i wont have kids it will only be me. she doesnt understand that the schizophrenia medicine messes with blood sugar or something like that.

Maybe you could send her some articles about it so she understands that you’re not just starving yourself?

Intermittent fasting is supposed to be very good health wise.

I think if you drink lots of distilled water it’s supposed to clean your system of toxins. A Daniel Fast is pretty healthful too. If you struggle with any eating disorders though I don’t recommend fasting at all. Maybe talk to your doctor.

My doctor told me that fasting on occasion is good for the body. It’s when it becpmes ofte that it is bad.

There are other dietary ways to stabilize your bloodsugar.
Fasting doesn’t stabilize it, it only keeps your calorie intake down.
Smaller meals spread throughout the day combined with a low carbohydrate intake is better.

I felt great when I did intermittent fasting, and there is supposedly good benefits to it, but as soon as I stopped doing the intermittent fasting due to work schedule, I gained all the weight that I had lost back.

When I don’t eat regularly, I can feel it. I start getting a headache and I start having symptoms. Additionally, my meds hurt my stomach if I don’t take them with food. It sucks, but I’m just going to have to do a better job at having a healthy diet. I don’t try as hard as I could, but soon, 20 becomes 30 and 30 becomes 50, and all of a sudden, I won’t have the metabolism of a young adult anymore. Like, if I’m honest, that’s probably the only reason I don’t weigh over 300lbs right now, is my age.
