Wish you good luck with your experiment in L Theanine, my Austrlian friend. I had tried it two years ago and failed. It gave me serious headache.

I take 1400mg (7 scoops of powder at 200mg each), I would recommend getting the powder form as you would have to take a ton of pills to get a good dose and you might throw up. I take 1 dose per day at the same time as my sarcosine, I dissolve it in liquid.

@dmdar where r u from… i know u take a lot of supplement all together… do u work in a job…

Are u motivated from sarcosine …!!!

I live in Harrisburg, PA, USA, I am currently not working and I am getting ready to go to grad school, I will be leaving in May. I was diagnosed with schizophrenia but I have never had a problem with motivation, I mostly have a problem with voices and bad negative symptoms. The sarcosine has healed me of almost all of my negative symptoms and has a mild effect on my positives.

I started with just 100 mg in the mornings (some have with food label and some don’t) depending on the brand you bought. Then when I saw good results, I increased to 450 mg in the mornings and 450 at lunch. It reduces my intrusive thoughts and anxiety significantly.

Try with the lowest dose and pay attention to yourself and your thoughts. I think max is 1200 mg a day so distribute the dose throughout the day.

Start with 200mg and see how you get on with that first.

@everhopeful my L-Theanine has 100mg Inositol in it. What even is that?

No idea. You should only get pure l-theanine . Suntheanine if possible.

According to webmd :

Inositol is POSSIBLY SAFE for most adults. It can cause nausea, tiredness, headache, and dizziness.

Inositol is POSSIBLY SAFE when used in the hospital for premature infants with acute respiratory distress syndrome.
Special Precautions & Warnings:
Pregnancy and breast-feeding: Not enough is known about the use of inositol during pregnancy and breast-feeding. Stay on the safe side and avoid use.

Bipolar disorder: There is some concern that taking too much inositol might make bipolar disorder worse. There is a report of a man with controlled bipolar disorder being hospitalized with extreme agitation and impulsiveness (mania) after drinking several cans of an energy drink containing inositol, caffeine, taurine, and other ingredients (Red Bull Energy Drink) over a period of 4 days. It is not known if this is related to inositol, caffeine, taurine, a different ingredient, or a combination of the ingredients.

It could work out still. They didn’t advertise it had inositol in it. Bastards.

It’s not the “NOW” brand by any chance is it? I started off on that but they use decaffeinated green tea leaves which I subsequently found out might be a problem for liver function when taken in high doses.

Yes it is! It’s the NOW brand. Should I return it and start over?
