Well today is the day my Medicaid ends. I tried to sign up for my works insurance but I don’t know how long that takes to go into affect. I could be without insurance for a month possibly. I hope I don’t get hospitalized any time soon

Did you forget to renew the medicaid? They should have sent forms to fill out.
I hope you don’t get hospitalized either. I did w/o insurance for a few days and got a huge bill.

No I TRIED to renew but I no longer qualify due to making too much money

Yea but I was unable to sign up for my employee insurance until the day my Medicaid ended because it wasn’t open enrollment time
In that case, there should be no gap in coverage. As long as you already filled out the paperwork, or fill it out immediately today.

They should be required to cover any medical costs from the point the paperwork was filed and your previous insurance ended. At least, that’s how it works in my state.

Does your workplace have a Human Resources Department? If so, you can call them and ask when coverage will begin. Then at least you’ll know

My HR department told me it would be starting in August if I signed up June 30th, but I hope they are wrong. A month without insurance will get expensive for medications. GoodRX will be my friend

Wow. That sucks! Meds are crazy expensive. I’m on cheap meds for that reason
