Health insurance crisis

I’m mostly ranting, but also asking advice for anyone who may know of something to help me. I was just denied tax credit assistance in paying for insurance because I don’t make ENOUGH money, yet I don’t qualify for medicaid in my new state because I don’t have kids and I’m not disabled. So basically I fell through this hole in the system where I made $600 a month for the past six months working as an intern, and because I was making below 100% of the federal poverty level I don’t qualify for any assistance. I’m beyond frustrated and really quite worried as to what I’m going to do. If I go to the hospital again, I’d likely have to go bankrupt. While I’m lucky that my medication is affordable each month, not having insurance coverage is causing so much stress. I am beyond frustrated.

Download the GoodRx app for meds. That’s what I use.

There are apps where you can see a pdoc via video thru your phone for $75 per visit.

These are short term solutions I guess…

@anon99082702 thanks for the advice. I’ll have to check out the good rx website.

That doesn’t make sense. Why not medicaid? I’m my state anything under something like $840/mo qualifies

When I lived in New Jersey I qualified based on income. But now I’m in Idaho and we don’t have expanded Medicaid coverage
