Medicaid 10101010

You may recall that Phil had a major surgery this year
and several different tests

and at the time he had his health insurance thru the Union
even though he wasn’t working

then they told him it would end starting Oct. 1st.
So, he’s been on unemployment, and applied for Medicaid

but he just missed the cut off to get it, same thing happened
when I tried signing up for heating assistance.

So, if you have nothing, you can get services, but if you have
a little of something, you’re denied. Now, why wouldn’t they want
us to have a little bit of money? It’s so messed up.

Also, I lost my MEPD, cuz I didn’t get the paperwork sent back in,
terrible with snail mail, and wish I could have done it online,

but I re-applied, and they told me it would take over 30 days
to find out if I got it. I’m pretty sure I will.

Thanks for reading.

That stinks. I’m currently applying for my states socialized health insurance as a secondary to my current insurance from my parents because my copays for doctors and meds is getting to be really, really expensive. I think my caseworker said I can have it until I am 25 which is only a couple years as I turn 23 in a week. Hope you guys can get covered.

that’s good. Yeah, Phil will apply again for Medicaid after his unemployment runs out.
