Spoke with my psychiatrist

She reluctantly agreed to lower my risperidone dose from 4mg to 3mg after I told her that I was lying down on the couch all day long.

At first she wanted me to go down to 3.5mg but I basically pleaded with her to go down to 3mg.

She said that I can try it and see how I do.

Hopefully I won’t be as lethargic and sedated.

Wish me luck!

Big news ! Best of luck with it. But don’t be afraid to go back to 4mg if it doesn’t work out long term.

You’ll probably have a honeymoon period where you’ll feel better short term.

Everyone is different and have different side effects. I never had akathisia or anxiety from Abilify but many here did.

Day 1 on the reduced dose.
Took a shower, made coffee, prepared lunch, put the dishes away, started the cars, drove down the street, washed some dishes by hand, listened and enjoyed music, put the garbage and recycling cans away, so far only lay down on the couch for 1 minute.

Yeah feeling a bit on the manic side but definitely have less avolition and anhedonia.

So far at least…
