My doc won’t lower my Risperdal dose

Im currently on 4mg of Risperdal
I’ve been at this dose for years
I want my dose lowered but my psychiatrist is against it.
I really don’t know what to do?
I don’t want to go see another doctor, I’m very comfortable seeing my current psychiatrist.
Yeah she’s that good.

If she’s good, you should trust her

Yes I do trust her
Maybe she knows something I don’t know.
The last thing I want is to go off the rails

But why you want less risperidon?

I think she’s just nervous about changing it because you’re doing well now. Why risk it?

Less side effects like weight gain and lethargy

Oh I see.
Risperidone 16mg gave me involuntary movements of tongue

I still think you should sue your previous pdoc. 16 mg is scandalous.:grinning:

Haha.
Zyprexa? Abilify?
Also huge doses by another pdoc.

16mg of risperidone?!!
Holy cow!

I can’t even tolerate 5mg

I suffer from this too, but I think it’s the disease and not the meds.

Yeah I think it’s both for me but in all fairness I also take other sedating non psychiatric meds like diabetes meds and high blood pressure meds
