dad said in 10 years he wants to sell his house and downsize to something with less maintenance. it is a lot of house and yard to maintain. he will be 78 in 10 years. anyways no point in staying here all by myself. i told him i would move if they moved.

i don’t know where i will go. montana maybe, michigan maybe? has to be somewhere i can afford, i cant afford anything on the coast.
or i could move back to my hometown and smell the doughnut that is the whiskey distillery haha.

There are areas in Michigan that aren’t expensive, but near Detroit the costs are high.

My grandparents are in their early 80s and are finding out how hard their place in the country is to maintain. Your dad sounds smart tbh. My grandma and grandpa like a well manicured lawn and a spotless house. Their perfectionism is taking the life out of them and it’s sad.
