Starting to like my place

it still needs work, i have some updating to do inside, and i want to put in a screened in back porch. i think im going to get rid of my wheelchair ramp as well. and then lots of plans for the yard.

it’s pretty nice for me and my amount of income. the only thing i don’t like is the highway gets busy while people commute to and from work. there is little crime in this little town. none that you hear about it anyhow. but the cops drive past at least 3 or 4 times a day, but pay me no mind, which is fine. the grocery store isn’t great but it’s only a 13-15 mile commute to a good grocery store and the hospital when i need to get my meds.

im getting used to it now, and it’s my new normal. less stimulus to distract me from what im doing. and i always like to return to a peaceful home after a road trip and think “this is a good place” when i get back.

@Leaf yeah it’s nice, it gives me motivation to go back to work so i can fix it up quicker, i even have a spare bedroom and bathroom, both need updating and a library, and a home gym and treadmill. can sit out on the covered porch during thunderstorms. and plenty of land to garden, a little more than an acre, and an additional acre with a creek behind the house where i can kayak. all for the price of 60k. which i still owe 40k on. should be paid off in about 6 years and i’ll have more disposable income

@LilyoftheValley thanks i appreciate the warm feelings

i was considering a move, but i will be here until mom and dad pass away. and maybe forever. part of me wants to live on the great lakes but i doubt i will move unless i can no longer drive.
