Can anyone send me recipe ideas? I’m sure there’s a lot out there.
Does he eat fish? What about milk?
What kind of recipes are you looking for? Theres plenty of fake meats in the freezer section if you want something easy just sub the meat in any of your recipes and check labels of all ingredients for meat ingredients. If hes vegetarian, he probably just doesnt eat meat and gelatin. I was vegetarian for 7 years and now vegan for 3.
Recipes is plan B. Getting them to break up is plan A. I was lucky and didn’t need plan B in my own case.
Mick's fried eggplant lasagna
3 eggplant, peeled and cut into 3/4 inch steaks. soak in bowl covered in water and 2 teaspoons of dissolved salt. takes the bitterness out of the egg plant.
flour and egg dip for battering, two seperate flouring and dipping in beaten eggs.
fry the eggplant until browned on both sides in vegetable oil at medium high heat.
place fried eggplant on paper towels when done.
have cooked lasagna noodles ready to layer in casserole dish, build each individual lasagna with the length of the lasagna noodle…place one noodle down, spoon tomato marinara on top of the noodle, add one eggplant steak fried, add shredded mozarella cheese on that, then raw spinach leaves, place marinara layer on the spinach, repeat until the lasagna is three layers high…top each one with shredded mozerella and bake for thirty mins on 350 degrees…I got this recipe from a gourmet restaurant I used to cook for…delicious. and I’m not a vegetarian.
No fish. Idk about milk.
Haha . That’s silly. I don’t see him often so I don’t know if he’s a very nice person. My daughter tells me he’s nice to her. There was a time when they were fighting a lot. She says he loves his family very much and she appreciates that.
Yum. That looks delicious
@Loke then probably no milk too… Try fake meat I hear it’s gotten a lot better than when I ate it and it wasn’t bad back then… Just remember to think of it as a different kind of food all together it makes eating it without expectations easier
Why the vegetarian hate?
A vegetarian usually eats eggs and dairy, but vegan doesn’t. I think it’s great you can use plant-based meat for recipes, so you can eat your regular recipes.
Because it’s annoying when your daughter brings a boyfriend home that requires a separate meal from what you’ve cooked for everyone else. Too much extra work.
Pretty normal. lots of ppl have allergies and such.
Not for me. If you won’t eat what I cook then eat out.
I find if a couple has to drastic of a diet difference unless one is extremely easy to cook the couple doesn’t usually work out especially if it’s for religious or value reasons
In case of my husband and I for the most part I just throw his food in the microwave and throw it in front of him but for his breakfast and he’s even flexible with what his breakfast is, if I’m feeling sick he’ll stick something in the microwave and not get his usual sausage and egg whites
Wow you’re vegan.
Cool!
Me too!
Vegan for the animals and then the environment etc but for the animals first.
I want to be as cruelty free as I think I can.
It also depends on what you want from a relationship. Im poly and my bf is married so its not like well be moving in together, plus he loves vegan food so he accomodates when we have plans, or i bring my own food to reheat
Mock meat is good but it can be expensive depending on the brand.
Minestrone soup I make is vegan and I add soup mix (beans and lentils).
Maybe with home made fresh bread.
Chick pea salad is delightful on a hot summer day.fresh and light.
Mushroom stroganoff is fantastic.
Lots of recipes on google.
My x boyfriend mother made me veggie burgers when i visited her.
It was perhaps the best burger I ever had.
Only was vegan pattie or mock meat pattie.
She also made vegan schnitzel with potatoes, vegetables and gravy.was delicious!
