I’ve been a junk food vegetarian this week. pizzas, chips, fries. o well I will start eating healthy next week. junk food vegetarian is way easy and convenient too. it’s going to be a shock to the system to have to get into the kitchen again. at least the meals I prepare are fairly simple.
maybe one day i’ll think about going 90% vegan again. I don’t want it to be an issue at home, I bring it up here, but have learned not to preach to mom and dad about their diets. they grill a lot of meat, and invite me over to dinner, not to mention holiday hams and turkeys. I hate to stand out so I will often eat meat at those times. I don’t like to openly discuss being vegetarian with family and friends. for 4 years I rejected all their food, I just stopped hanging out with them basically. they’re hard to be around if I go vegan again.
I realize this is like two topics in one, but I just finished my pizza. junk food vegetarian for the win.
haha I know I put on 20 pounds. I will work off some of the weight this summer for sure. I just hate to cook and it’s way convenient. next week I will start prepare my meals again. get paid Monday, so will go to the grocery then. I already have a meal plan ready.
We eat a lot of meat. I’d like to cut back but al I really know to make is salads, beans, and side dishes that aren’t meat. I can’t afford to buy vegetarian stuff at the store, you know the fake meats and cheese.
when I was vegan I was obsessed with cheese, and would get the fake cheeses. I spent more money on groceries than I should have, that’s for sure. now im on a budget, can’t really afford those either.
yeah being vegetarian is much easier than vegan. I will probably stay vegetarian for many years, I may try veganism again someday…who knows? it’s just a lot more challenging. and I really like cheese, I could probably live without the eggs.
I’ve never seen a lion eating tofu. When I see that happen I’ll swear off meat not that I’m the king of the jungle or anything, far from it, I just like a good burger or steak fajita or nachos with beef or chili and all that other great stuff. I can’t imagine life without them, they are just as enjoyable to me now as before I got sick. I eat small portions and I’m not overweight. I tried vegetarian when I was still delusional and the voice convinced me I had to, and it didn’t go over well. Nothing I ate satisfied me for long periods of time other than potatoes, and I got tired of potatoes fast.
Potato soup
4lbs small red potatoes
One pack Philadelphia cream cheese
Two packs of cheddar cheese
One bag off broccoli florets
1/2 lb of bacon
4 cups of chicken broth
Cook / pressure cook, blend and add microwaved bacon at the end or leave it out for a vegetarian dish. Oh how I wish I had some now
