Hey everyone. I was going to the gym but overeating and have gained weight. I also was only doing 10 minutes of easy cardio each time. Then about 2.5 months ago, I stopped going altogether. Now I’m overweight and out of shape all over again.
Next week, I plan to start exercising again. I’m starting with water aerobics and tai chi. But I’m not yet motivated to stick to a diet. Maybe getting exercise will give me the encouragement I need to get back on track.
Same, I used to weight lift like crazy and do self-defense martial arts like Jeet Kune Do and Kali, but I just lost motivation. I also stopped intermediate fasting at the same time, so I gained about 10 pounds. I’m now back at it physically and dieting, too. Here’s to our weight loss journey, hopefully it goes well.
I have had problems with weight. For my I need to find a thing I like doing that just happens to be exercise. Like hunting for gourmet mushrooms turns into 25000 steps with elevation changes. I found that canoeing is really enjoyable and they are often cheap on Craigslist. I had to stop focusing on the “losing” and think of exercise as a gift to my future self. That let me see it as a positive rather than negative experience.
well I’m sure you’re still beautiful so don’t beat yourself up. I was on meds that caused weight gain and am now at almost my ideal weight…lost it all on generic prolixin…fluphenazine…good luck.
I really recommend this diet I kinda been doing. Been eating a lot of salad with chicken or tuna on top with salad dressing. For snacks usually apples or apple sauce or other fruit. Its really doable and easy to stick with that’s why I like it.
Protip: I buy the best quality apples so that I actually like it. And also the type of tuna I really like not the cheap fishy kind
Today I walked 3/4 a mile twice. I have to get my stamina up and start swimming again. I weigh about 225 lbs, down from 298 lbs 2 years ago. I haven’t been following my diet this last week so I maintained my weight but didn’t lose any. It’s crazy but I’ve been craving blueberry Pop Tarts today (but didn’t eat any).
Good to go back but go slow and build up to it. I’m finally losing weight and it’s really just been about disciplined eating for me. I don’t really feel too hungry but eating healthy and smart and keeping it really simple.
You can still eat well and healthy but I think a big thing for me was cutting back on sugar and takeaways. Dad always wants to buy food out like today. I made myself some spagettic bog and went out and bought him a macca’s burger. It’s hard work but once your going it gets easier…
So take it easy and build up and look at eating healthy and smart! I know you can get there.
