i was sitting eating my dinner and then the freaking main bracket breaks!! npw i have a loose wire in my mouth which hurts…

Was a whole list of things I was given not to eat when I was on braces. I had to grate or cook apples, no chewing gum etc etc. Hopefully you can get it fixed asap. One I meant to mention on you getting braces post. I had to take like two days off school after getting my braces tightened.

Myself always hated the the rubber band things. Yawn in class and the band would break and it would go flying across the room.

In the meantime see if some aspirin helps.

My orthodontist’s name in my teens was Dr Savage he lived up to his name. I don’t envy you with all the tightening and work involved. But will be worth it all in the end.
