I just have to complain: braces suck! I have had mine on for a year and a half. They just put this weird metal band around my back molar that has a bracket in both the front and back, and my tongue hits it every time I take a drink, eat, or talk. I just got it on today, and I already have a sizable ulcer on my tongue from it. It freakin’ hurts!!! Next, they are pulling the two baby canines that I still have, so I have that to look forward to. Oh yay!

ouch…that must hurt…sorry you are having so much havoc with your braces. Just think how pretty your smile will be when it’s over !!
I sure hope it is! I honestly had a nice smile to begin with. I always got compliments on it. I have two baby teeth still, though. That’s the only flaw (Well, a little overbitte, too).
My orthodontist group is really cruddy, and I wouldn’t use them for my dog. They are only in the office once every other week, so I can’t go in if there is an emergency (they have other offices, but you aren’t allowed to go anywhere else!)I wish I had read their reviews before deciding on them, but I was stupid and didn’t. They have 1.8 stars out of 5.
At the moment, I am stressing about them pulling my baby teeth and moving my other teeth forward to compensate for the missing teeth. This had been our plan all along because of complications with getting my permanent teeth out of he roof of my mouth. Anyhow, I was just told that moving the other teeth so close to the adult teeth impacted in the roof of my mouth could cause their roots to die, and I could end up losing teeth. What the heck?! Why didn’t anyone tell me this sooner?!

I’m getting braces soon. I wore them when I was a teenager and have to go through it again but it will be quick this time.
I know the pain but it’s worth it. Just make sure to wear your retainer or it will all be for nothing. I made that mistake.
