Muuuaaaahahahahahahaaa (halloween)

anybody doing anything nice?

i could have gone to a party but thats not my style, i’d like to dress as a 1940s hooker but thats just a fantasy, i have a thing for fishnet stockings and eye liner lol maybe a cross dressing vampire lol

That would be cool. My plans is to hide in my bedroom as my parents hand out candy lol

i use to do that, i was scared of answering the door. but now i think they are just young and having some fun and all they want is some candy  but i don’t think i’ll get any trick or treaters at my door bc i live in a close with a secured entry haha

Its not the kids that bother me its the parents staring me down as I hand out candy…gives me the creeps

Pretty much a non event in OZ. They keep trying to bring it in each year though. So every years it’s like if I do buy something for the trick and treaters then no one shows up at door. If I don’t then maybe one group does. Wonder if they’d like carrots this year cause I’m broke!

you don’t need to just blindly hand out candy, why not talk to them as well, ask them where they’ve been and if they can do any tricks or if they have any jokes, jokes are great bc the kids jokes are sometimes very bad so if you know a good joke that is easy to understand then you could give it to them to use somewhere else lol, it could be fun. i don’t see halloween as scaring people now, i think it is a way at laughing in the face of death and making fun of the evils in this world.

my kids are unfortunately too old to go trick or treating now :frowning: when they were at the right age, i wasn’t well enough to appreciate it, now i am, they’re too old…hmmmm maybe i should have another baby lol…jk

I like the Halloween atmosphere - it makes Autumn that more special.
As far as the actual Halloween Holiday goes, I can really do without the Trick or Treat tradition.
I mean I never hand out the candy, I leave this up to my elderly Dad - he gets a kick out of seeing the kids dressed up in their costumes - to me it kind of fuels my paranoia.
I will be in the house calming my dog - he is extremely watchful

Heading to my kid’s school in a few hours in my role of volunteer photographer to try and capture some Halloween festivities. Planning to hand out a whack of candy this evening now that we live in town again (you don’t get many kids at your door when you live on an acreage 30 km from the nearest village).

My wife is dressed like a witch. My daughter is going as a Victorian era vampire. I’m dressed as a, ah, nerd. Yeah, that’s it.

My brother went as Twiggy - a fashion model once. He did the fishnet stockings + mascara, lipstick and wore a ‘mini-dress’. He’s straight, but did the cross dressing thing at events ever since he was a kid.

I told my wife I wanted to go out this year completely naked except for a pair of roller skates. Said I was going as a pull toy. Denied. She’s just no fun.

That would have shocked some neighbors! HA! I feel like Halloween is already over. Had my decorations up for awhile, went to the local zombie walk in town, and a local play of night of the living dead a couple of weeks ago. But tonight’s the NIGHT! And I have nothing to do, dang it! Must at least get some wine and do something halloweenie! Maybe I’ll suggest going to the cemetery(drunk) and doing a séance!!

I think everbody deep down would love to cross dress…myself I find it hilarious to see dudes dressed up as women. Especially hetero dudes because it makes it even funnier that they are gussied up. that’s just me anyways.

i’m dressing up as a scary monster …oh wait…i don’t have to, i am one !?!
take care

I am staying in and watching a movie. It isn’t even scary. I live too far out in the country for trick or treaters.

No trick or treaters last night but was a party down the road. If it was a halloween party or not it was noisy but was way to tired to care so slept through it. Although was up at 2am for some reason. So I guess I was Rip Van Winkle Zzzzzzzzzz…

32 trick or treaters total. We still have candy out the wazoo. Need to hide the bulk of it from Darling Daughter and ration it out slowly, methinks. Currently working our way through season two of Supernatural.

And we have popcorn.
