Muscle pain and APs

I’ve been experiencing muscle soreness on my right arm lately.
I experienced myalgia before, but not to this extent.

I’m thinking it could be med related, as I haven’t lifted anything heavy or exerted myself in any way.

The culprits could be Lipitor or as I’ve read, Risperdal.

Not sure what to tell my GP.

It’s hard to tell.

I also have this urge to move my arm Restless Arm syndrome?

Does anyone else experience myalgia or muscle soreness with their APs?

Are you right handed? If so, do you hold your new puppy’s leash in your right hand? That could cause arm soreness if the puppy pulls on the leash.

No it’s not the leash pulling @Moonbeam
She doesn’t pull that hard right now.

But I have been using my right arm more often than usual taking care of my puppy.
Carrying her and walking her a lot.

Maybe you are on to something @Moonbeam
Thanks!

Tell your GP just what you told us. In the same way. Good luck.

Another minor ailment. Have you ever spoken to someone about your obsession (?) on your health? I’ve seen you post about tics/twitches that come and go like 10 times it seems. This hurts, that hurts, sheesh dude, you’re getting older, things are gonna start creaking. I think you’re so concerned about your health it’s unhealthy (is that a tautology?). Have you ever raised the possibility with your therapist that you may be a hypochondriac?

I take Invega and also have sore muscles. Taking magnesium helps. Maybe you can try that.

My pdoc and therapist both know.

It may be nothing to you @anon40540444 but the pain I’m feeling is real.

I do take Lipitor and this can cause muscle pain.

I also take Risperdal which can cause myalgia (muscle) pain.

I may have obsessions when it comes to my health but there is nothing out of bounds for raising these questions.

I don’t want to say anything to damage our relationship, so I’ll agree to disagree. Be well!

You’re in your 50’s like me @Wave.

The wheels start to get a little creaky when you hit the half century mark.

My shtick is the 3-4 day rule. If something is really nagging me for a few days, I’ll make an appointment to get it checked out.

Your body produces pain to signify that something is wrong. Be vigilant with your health…if those aches and pains drag on, get them looked at by your GP.

I’m not sure what’s causing it, but I hope you get to the bottom of it soon so you can feel better

On the other hand, as one ages, one should take symptoms more seriously when they pop up. It’s not wise to ignore smptoms. Always consult a Dr if a new symptom shows up and isn’t going away.
