I had no idea that some seniors still owe student loans and that they can garnish part of their social security. 
That’s really screwed up… To garnish someone’s social security dman… That’s cold. I saw this article today too. It’s sad. And old person working their whole life and still has nothing.
Even sadder I saw in I think it was Pakistan there’s people who are in essentially modern day slavery through debt.
This one family their kid got sick and the Hospital bill was $500. They’ve been paying it off by working (including their kid) all day in brick kilns making bricks and theres no prospect of them ever being able to pay off that debt with the “wages” they make.
They can afford bread and water and work all day and can never pay the increasing interest on the loan… It’s a slavery sort of scam. Shark loans taken to the extreme.
