I called them today to find out what is going on with my student loan discharge. they told me I’ve been approved but I have to wait three years since they need proof I’m disabled they told me that meant I can’t work or get loans.

I got my loans discharged. $118,000.00. I have been trying to work but always get an increase in symptoms. You can work but you can’t earn above the poverty level for your household in your state. https://aspe.hhs.gov/poverty-guidelines

i figured they would count my partner’s income too and that’s why I can’t work. I owe 34,000 in student loan debt.
R u married? If not, the income doesn’t count for you.
no but we plan to wed before our tenth anniversary.

thanks, both our families are against it though. my parents are because they feel kay doesn’t treat me right and her family disagrees with it for religious reasons.
