Yesterday I only ate 1700 calories. From past experience this would have been absolutely impossible without metformin. I was struggling to get to 2200 calories previously. I think I might have lucked out.
I’m going to stick to 1700/day now.

So the metformin suppresses appetite?
I’ve no idea how it works. It’s like it gets rid of the mental angst of not eating as much. I still have to be very disciplined though.
Previously my body would invariably rebel on anything less than 2200, and I’d just end up binge eating pizza.
I’d always heard stories about people who had diabetes and then lost a ton of weight, I think metformin has a large role to play in that now.
I don’t have diabetes(at least I hope not), just high blood sugar caused by abilify. I’m on 1500mg of metformin.
I have heard about that too. My friend just started a med called something with vic… I don’t remember the name but it’s also for diabetes. She has lost a couple of pounds in a couple of days… it’s suppressing her appetite. Fingers crossed this works good for you! cheers to health!!
Probably, Victoza.
Its a newer Diabetic drug.
Yes, that’s the one
