Mentally Ill Mass Killers--what do you think of them?

If you think the death penalty is unfair for mass murderers just think how fair it was for an 18 year old girl with her whole life ahead of her who his gunned down for no reason. How fair is was that? Or how fair is it that her parents and friends have to live the rest of their lives with the memory of their loved ones brutally and painfully murdered like an animal for doing absolutely nothing to the person who murdered them? If it was YOUR mother or daughter who went out for a pleasant Saturday entertainment at a movie and never came back would you care how inhumane their killer is treated? The killer gave up his rights to be treated fairly when he pumped that first bullet into someone who had never done anything to him.

but the death penalty is so hypocritical DONT KILL PEOPLE or well kill you doesn’t make any sense.
malvok by saying that you would put them down that means your no better than them.

Thanks, I’m as bad as a mass murderer? ■■■■ off.

this is a debate… if your going to throw your toys out of the pram its not my issue.

They give up their right to life when they take the lives of others.

not true we have laws for a reason and I am simply pointing out that some murderes are mentally ill
so they can help but do what they do.

When you claim my opinion makes me as bad as mass killers you throw away any credibility you have in making any argument.

if you would “put someone down” given the opportunity it DOES make you a murderer.LOL

Where exactly did I write that? Did you even read my post?

thanks you just quoted it for me.

Reading comprehension fail.

I won’t be “putting anyone down”, “given the opportunity” or not. Wtf?

well somebody has to do it maybe not you but if you were in power you would put them down like rabid dogs I don’t understand you are mentally ill yourself but coming down really hard on people who have a mental illness and diminished capacity to experience empathy YOUR RIGHT THEY ARE SICK!
theyre mentally ill.

I’m not in power, there’s not point in arguing over it because it isn’t true.

There are laws on the books that apply the death penalty to these cases. My support of such laws doesn’t make me as bad as the people who commit these crimes. Anyone who suggests such is, frankly, a moron.

look your stance on psychopaths is put them down like rabid dogs I disagree lets leave it at that you have some serious issues obviously and im not going to make things worse for you.

Using that purely as a yardstick would executing people who are so ill they’re stuck in the ravishes of psychosis, ie not able to be repaired , be permissible?

Why would you take out the fact that they killed masses of people?

I don’t agree with his views on the death penalty but in no way is he equivalent to a mass murderer.

So whether they can be repaired or not is an irrelevant issue?

I don’t think it’s irrelevant, I think the combination adds up. When people commit crimes while mentally ill there is always the hope that these people can be treated and rehabilitated. But, when a crime is this ghastly, this involved, and this premeditated, I don’t think these people can be treated. I don’t think there will ever be a time when they are not a threat. I think they should be removed permanently, just as anyone else who is deemed mentally fit that commits these crimes.

I think when we can get to a point when we accept the mentally ill due to lack of/poor treatment can become ill enough to kill, and not dismiss such people as purely evil and not really mentally ill , then real progress will be made.
