I’ve been thru psychosis, and it’s nothing like that.
you live in total fear.
ridiculous, Sheri, on the news,
even movies have done better than that.
You mean the Texas shooter or the Buffalo one?
If so, you’re right. Neither were psychotic. They’re just trying to make it about mental illness to make themselves feel better.
like any statistic, Sheri? yep.
get on my side Phil, not everything needs to be a fight.
I have watched a lot of coverage, and mental illness is being used in the same breath as evil
This is worrying - as if the stigma wasn’t bad enough already
One person even said saying mental health is to broad. There is a difference between someone who has anxiety and a violent schizophrenic
Neither shooter was psychotic.
The Buffalo shooter was a white supremacist and the killer from Texas was a sociopath.
Politicians are blaming mental illness to steer things away from the real problem which is guns.
It’s disgusting
We are demonized every time something like this happens. Noone wants to admit that neuro typical people can be evil because then that means anyone can do awful things.
My therapist told me this week ppl should be scared of sz ppl. Because my voices could’ve told me to do something evil.
I said that’s B’s they told me to pick my eye out and they would stop, I said and I obviously didn’t do it.
In psychosis I was scared of people and paranoid but not trying to hurt someone.
Thinking I should get a new therapist.
This fear tends to be paralyzing. Normal everyday stuff is difficult under psychosis forget about pulling off mass shooting.
Time for new therapist I guess.
Wow, how ignorant.
My voices told me to kill people, remove the device in my ear, kill myself, so many things.
The most I ever did was go on hikes searching for people who they said were trapped. They weren’t.
But no way would I have killed someone because another person told me to, regardless of whether or not they’re in my head.
