Am I approaching menopause soon? I’m almost 40.

not sure…forty sounds about right…maybe near fifty…not sure.
There is a fairly wide age range for menopause. I know some women started it at 40 but my own mother didn’t go through it until she was 56.
I am currently in what they call perimenopause meaning that I am having symptoms of my estrogen dropping but I am still getting my period every month.

51 is the average age for menopause. They can test your hormone levels at the OB/GYN, if you want to find out.

40 is not menopause. 45-50 depending on woman’s body.

You’ll likely go through menopause around the same time your mother did.
I was curious recently about where I am with my hormones and perimenopause so I started testing at home.
So far it has shown that I’m in the early stages of perimenopause. I’m 42.

I don’t think so. I was in my 50’s. Around 55.

Probably not @Ish. 40 would be awful early. Most women don’t go through menopause until around early 50’s, like 51 or 52. Late 40’s if you are a smoker.
