Memory and cognitive impairment

Hi
Wondering quite seriously if i have the beginning of Alzheimer’s

I cant follow tv a lot of thd time
No concentration
No idea how to keep appointments
I dont know
Probably a lot of other thinkgs
Can anyone confirm if memory is affected with Sz?

Another major thing is forgetting in the middle of my sentence
Not finding the right word occasionally

Also not remembering what ive been told about events and needing every last thing repeated to me

In that case I don’t know. It could definetely be due to one of your other meds though. You should speak to your doctor about this.

Specifically ask him if it could be an unwanted side effect of one of your meds.

A lot of meds have “confusion” / thinking problems as a side effect.

Maybe you could even google the side effects of your meds yourself if you’re up to it.

It’s common with a sz \sza to have cycles of cognitive dysfunction. I constantly go through cycles of exactly what you are describing. My pdoc assured me it was part for course.

I was so bad I spoke with my primary about Alzheimer’s testing. Everything came back, though. I am still forgetful but not nearly as bad as before.

For prozac :

Call a doctor straight away if you get:

  • headaches, trouble focusing, memory problems, not thinking clearly, weakness, seizures, or losing your balance - these can be signs of low sodium levels

I’m not saying that’s the cause. But your memory problems could be due to some of your meds.

I have loss of memory, often don’t complete sentences or forget what I was saying, difficulty remembering how to do simple tasks. Etc etc. My pdoc says that over time Sza leads to brain damage.

My memory and other cognitive symptoms were horrendous before I got medicated with an AP. I think it had something to do with me being in severe psychosis.

My memory still sucks but it’s not nearly as bad as before.
