Eric bat I agree with you on that trillafon(Pherpenazine) is a very good 1. Gen antipsychotics for psychosis.
So congrat on that it works that well for you.
Trillafon depot 216 mg (32 mg by mouth) was the first antipsychotic I was on. It did do its job keeping the positive symptoms at bay well. But I got some intolerable side effects so after half a year we switched to Clopixol depot and that one worked without side effects.
Clopixol=Haldol>Trillafon in antipsychotic strength.
30 years ago the doctors said if Trillafon doesn’t fit you then Haldol or Clopixol will do so.

It’s Eric Sbat. Kinda a combination of my first and last name. I need to change it but maybe people know it. My handle is normally TheSecondVariety. It’s been so long with this name though. Perphenazine has been great. I do miss some of the enjoyment from mania I had on invega though and the sleep. My name does look like erics bat. Kinda a meaningless name lol

I didn’t do well on clozaril and only tried it for a few days or a week or two and the blood tests and costs is too much for me. I was on 8 meds and 3 APs at the time, and almost died from pneumonia and NMS. I went to the ICU and could have died and have memory problems now because of it.
I cannot commit to clozaril and don’t have the means to get the blood tests and fast. Furthermore, I have severe (or had) negative symptoms and Vraylar is also a secondary mood stabilizer and is the best for me despite restlessness, agitation, and insomnia. the insomnia went away eventually but I wake up a lot frequently.
I heard clozaril is the TR or last resort and the gold standard for tr schizophrenia…

May I ask you if you are on other antipsychotics than Vraylar now?
Yes it can get a very harsh experience to take 3 different antipsychotics so you must really be in the hands of a very knowledgeable shrink who know what he does in regards to meds.
How are your negatives now ?
Yes if you must pay for the blood test of your own pocket then Clozapine treatment can get really expensive.

I’m on cymbalta 120 mg and 6mg of Vraylar. I think my main problem right now is caffeine tbh.

Eric don’t fear that anybody reveal your identity cause your data are safe. I just had to change my username because it caused some stupid misunderstandings.

I think the best way to categorize them is by partial agonists vs full agonists.
That being said, Abilify is one of the partial agonists with supposed low potency, but it was a very heavy med for me. Like @Joker said, I think it mostly depends on your own body’s chemistry.

Seroquel(quietapine) completely snowed me. I would sleep for almost 20 hours a day. And the few hours that i was awake, i could not concentrate on anything. It didn’t even stop the voices.
Zyprexa(olazapine) on the other hand is a miracle drug for me. It stopped the voices and i can function like a normal person.
The drugs work differently on different people though so you may get different results

You as well as I both are the living proofs for the fact that response is individually and often randomized.
If You get snowed of an antipsychotics that shouldn’t be your meds of choice.
