I currently take Luvox. It worked for a month or so and then quit working. Still taking it though because when I stop taking it I feel like my brain is being electrocuted.

I’m going to ask my doctor about trying another SSRI for it if I can ever get an appointment. My pdoc gave me Depakote for OCD which doesn’t make a lot of sense but apparently it works for some people.

I was prescribed citalopram a long time ago when it was really severe.
I say severe because I was also prodromal at the time (without knowing) so everything kinda compounded on top of each other.
Nowadays I’m on Abilify and Zoloft, and still have pure-O but I just live with it I think.
Some days are better than others.

I have pure-O. 60mg fluoxetine helps me some. But tbh low stress helps me more

Yeah I got rid of most of my compulsions. For pure-O it’s harder but doable.

My pdoc wouldn’t pay much attention on my ocd symptoms since she’s very busy prescribing Valium to people…

I’d ask the pdoc, but supposedly abilify can treat ocd, it always worked on mine, but I wasn’t that bad

@anon59642972 thats weird that abilify can help with ocd. When i was on it, it more-so induced ocd in me. And its known to create compulsive behaviour in people.

Luckily i only have this ocd thing in attacks, but it’s hell on earth when it comes, and no medicine has ever worked, even MAO-i and 10 mg olanzapine helps.
