Medication does not take away my belief that the voices are real

I might hear them less or even hardly at all, but I always believe they are real. I’ve tried all different kinds of meds over the past 10 years, ever since I started hearing voices. The most effective they have been is to make the voices quieter, but they’ve never changed my belief that the voices are real.

In my case too. They are real beings. I have 10 distinct voices

Do meds help you hear them less?

Yes, but I still hear them. They always say that I should remember that even when they are not heard, they’re here with me, by my side

Your voices sound much nicer than mine.

I have both good and evil voices. Yours?

They’re all extremely mean. They used to be nice once in a while, but now they never are.

Meds don’t help?

Do they reflect your mood? Or are they independent?

They’re independent.

That is because the meds aren’t working properly. The meds hope to eliminate voices entirely.

As they haven’t in your cases, I presume to think that you believe even more that the voices are the supernatural?

Your childhood belief system is often reflected in your adult outlook, so if it was a religious one you are more likely to believe supernatural voices such as angels or demons. If you are a religious adult then this adds to the ‘voices are real’ belief.

They are not real. They have no tangible reality. Voices are merely what you expect to hear, thus personal to you and your beliefs, whatever they maybe.

If you reassess your beliefs and why you believe in them. Take them apart and analyse your life as to why you believe in angels or demons in the first place and come to a conclusion that you were indoctrinated into that belief system then perhaps you can let go of such delusions.

If you do, your voices will change to reflect your current beliefs and what you expect to hear, thus if you honestly believe you are ugly or contemptible and that people don’t like you then you hear such disparaging stuff too. It is merely your subconscious beliefs reflected back at you.

If you are unfortunate enough for meds being unable to fix voice hearing, self reflection and understanding can help to transform your voices into positive ones by understanding that whatever you hear is what you expect to hear. And that alone!

My being was stuck between a few different levels of dimensional reality.

It’s the only logical explanation I can think of.

Not sure if this has something to do with LSD or not. I am angry I was given that drug when I was 15 years old

in last psych ward i had voices telling me to kill the intern nurse and they also described how i had to do it. So you mean that is my subconciousness telling me i want to kill her. That is weird cause I didn’t want to kill her and it was really annoying so i told somebody there cause it was being so hard on me.

You expected to hear the command to kill as through generations of what anti-schizophrenic media has indoctrinated you to believe schizophrenics actually do. It is what you expect a schizophrenic does so that is what you heard.

In addition the rampant psychosis takes the ideas in your head and warps them to exaggerated lengths.

Of course you didn’t actually want to kill her, but it is what you believed at the time a sz does in psychosis and was translated to the voice.

I’m not sure if it’s still a thing, but my ex husband was declared legally insane in the state of Georgia because he had done lsd. That alone made him legally insane. And he hadn’t done anything wrong while on lsd. It was enough that at any point in time in his life he had done it.

That’s crazy.

I must say - LSD in the liquid form is very evil, and I think it really does have a massive impact on your world view.

Seems to be legit to be declared insane for doing that drug, as it literally does so much revealing of reality, that I think it just scares the authorities, and they like to discredit the experiences people have.

Wish it was more main stream, so that other people could understand exactly what it does and why it’s beneficial to take just a small amount

Why you had a CIA delusion could be down to the media influence throughout your life. Back before television schizophrenics believed in ghosts a lot as their social influence, as soon as TV came along it was based on old sci-fi movies etc.

All our delusions are reflections of the time and how society is based.

But the voices insight , once ascertained could really help people!
