Meat Eating? Barbaric?

It isn’t more barbaric than “just” wars of the Empire : real industrial human butcheries! What a puritanism!

If you don’t have to eat meat, it is more compassionate not to. If you don’t want to be compassionate so be it. But eating meat is not necessary to get all your nutrition and protein.

I don’t want to know how the sausage is made.
All I know is that it tastes Delicious!

It’s half backfat and half pork meat mixed with spices and pink salt. Then you pump it into the intestines of a pig. Then you actually eat that like the half man half jackal that Walmart tells you to be come independence day.

If you can read french, have a look to this document, which presents vegetarism as a capitalistic phenomenon.

There are some things that only come from meat nutrition wise. I can’t remember any of them but I think zinc or iron is one of them.

But here’s an example of what happened when I ate an excess of plant foods once. I became really lazy. I wanted to do things but instead just sat on the computer watching YouTube.

Edit: Also grass fed beef is healthier because the cows are healthier. Cows are meant to eat grass and when they are turned into beef, they have more precursors to vitamin b. Vitamin b is what helps support mood and energy.

We are top of the food chain and rightly so because of our intelligence hence I eat meat.:poultry_leg:

What!? Some just eat meat because it tastes good. That’s that. I do.

Intelligence though?! Was it intelligent that my brother loved Double Whoppers with cheese so much that he had to get his gall bladder removed?

Claiming intelligence for the whole of the species though! That’s a bit much.

You can take supplements. Still don’t need meat.

And there is a legend that vegetarianism just brings out your inner true self. Maybe that’s why you just sat on the couch and did nothing. Wow, we’ve all learned something today. Good talk, guys.

I’m just going to ignore your insult as it’s not backed up by evidence or makes me wrong. Plenty of vegetarians become obese after switching to plants only. I lift btw.

As for supplements, they can be quite expensive. And you have to know which ones to get, what to eat it with, are they fat soluble or water soluble, ect. It’s a big hassel. Not everyone has the time or energy to do that. Sometimes people just want to eat.

I didn’t intend it as an insult. It was meant as friendly sarcasm.

As far as people just wanting to eat. You’re right. If people see no reason to make vegetarianism a priority, then they won’t.

Hey Arturo - have you ever tried a fat burner pill ?

Nah, I lose fat pretty quickly so I have no need.

You have a point there. Maybe if we ate less meat it would put less pressure on the world’s resources. If people think that would be a bland diet we have people who study ways to make food more delicious. We might be eating more soy beans, but if they processed them right they would taste fine.

Do you think it might help me? On this injection - I am not losing any body fat % with a light diet.

Who says elephants aren’t more intelligent than us?

If they had hands they would probably have a written language.

Without hands and brain to go with it animals can’t alter their environment like we can.

Animals kill other animals in the wild for food. I think it is okay to eat meat as long as they don’t torture animals.

I do feel somewhat guilty eating animals, but nature does it all the time which lessens my guilt.

That said, when lab grown meat arrives I will switch to it over normal meat.

there is a large difference… hunting animals kill their own food… humans raise nurture and slaughter animals we have bred to be docile… plus there is a disconnect between me and the animal grown for food… sure I pet the livestock up the road but I have avoided killing and butchering it… its made too simple for us and meat has become a commodity…

what about people who hunt for their own food? Are your beliefs different for this?
