Ethical dilemma with killing animals

I don’t think any animal should be killed. With that said, I just killed what looked like a baby scorpion. I think it’s ok if it’s something that could or is trying to kill you. It still hurts though.

I also still eat meat. Someday I’m gonna give it up. I’m sure cannibals think the meat is tasty too. That doesn’t make it right.

If that’s your conviction that’s fine. I think my niece abstains from meat especially cos the way slaughter houses abuse their animals. Chickens are cooped up in very tight spaces (Free range chicken meat is tougher). I don’t think a small number of people boycotting store bought meat is gonna stop this. My dad raises pigs from time to time to butcher and he takes very good care of his animals. Our chickens are also free range.

Maybe you can search online for “cruelty free meat” it might help you. I’m sure it will be more expensive. My dad and I have talked about buying a cow and splitting the meat.

I don’t eat meat because of parasites. They’re a huge deal and take ages to get rid of. The eggs are bloody heat resistant too.

You can have a huge parasite burden and not know it until you take an anti-parasitic. Then there’s a freaking squiggler party going around all over the place. Ugh!

When you take a anti-parasitic do they come out of your body?

Yes. If they’re in the bloodstream they just die there and let off all kinds of byproducts.

I am on a vegan diet for the animals and for the environment.

I avoid killing.

I avoid doing harm and try to do as little harm as I feel I can.

If cockroaches were taking over my home I would kill them but if it’s just one I let it be.

If you start a vegan diet which I hope you do you can take vegan supplements.

Good wishes n glad you care.

There isn’t an easy answer. Killing animals or plants isn’t good, but neither is letting yourself or your home be infested and getting sick and dying is good. In a way this is an inevitable amount of suffering that I hope with enough time will go away as we develop even better ways of living in the world…but I think that’s a few thousand years away from now.

Right now we can’t communicate to animals that what they’re doing by entering our spaces is causing us to harm them. I would love if we could communicate to insects and they just understand and leave us be.

Killing plants “isn’t good”? What?

Try to rethink that.

Is ok I think the

I think we have to kill the stocks to have meat.I agree with that there isn’t an easy answer to the question.

animals are creatures without civilization.

If you have a dog ever, and really interact it’s impossible not to see incredible intelligence in another species
It’s remarkable
Beautiful little sentient creatures
So aware of everything
Or how a cat sees the new thing in the room every time and investigates it
Most of the animals on our plates are as intelligent as 3 yr old human children

I still went back to eating fish for a month or 2 but no more

I have no moral quandaries with eating meat, as long as it was killed humanely.

I’d eat it all the time if I could be sure of not getting parasites.

IN eastern countries where people believe in buddhism, killing animals is regarded as inmoral.

In the buddhism, all the spiece of life on earth would be other form of life after they die.
for example, in this life, you are a human being. next life, you may be a cow a dog or anything else.

I think I could choose to eat meat without ethical dilemma.

Do you have to take drugs, or is there a good natural alternative.

https://realfoodrebel.com/my-story/ is a blog about someone curing lyme disease with a parasite cleanse and a ketogenic diet. I’m going to follow it.

Thank you. I’m going to, too.

I’m 99% vegan. Want to help work towards less animals suffering. I’ve read up about the factory farming and it’s awful. It’s bad for health too.

I believe eating meat is ok as long as one doesn’t overdo it and even better is to slaughter it yourself then you will appreciate it more.

And if the animal is slaughtered then it must be done with least amount of pain for them.

And factory farms should be shut down and rather return to family farms.
