Does anyone know why some people see “ghost” and others may think it’s fake or believe them, but if someone with schizophrenia sees a “ghost”, we’re hallucinating? How do you know if you are experiencing seeing a ghost, or if you are hallucinating? Is there anyway to tell them apart, or does that even matter. Like just by way of saying I see ghosts, I am delusional?

idont belive in ghosts, but i do belive that the voices will make me think that they are ghosts and scare me
Considering my oldest son can see the 4 in our house that I can, with same descriptions, gonna say ours are real. Hubby doesn’t see the ones here, but the house he grew up in until 19 had a woman, he only heard her, when I moved in she was not nice anymore, was glad we moved out fairly quick to our apartment.
I’ve always lived in houses growing up that were usually early 1900’s, and in poverty areas, so there were usually at least 1 death in the houses.
I read the history on our house finally 2 years after seeing the ones in.our house, it’s a mom and her 2 daughters. They died in the house 3 years after their family built it in 1882. The article just said illness related death for all 3 dying within a week of each other. And of course they had the traditional Irish wake of caskets in our entryway/parlour for a week. ■■■■■■ me up for awhile seeing that, cause fine they died here, but then their bodies sat in my house. Not cool.
The 4th thing, well, I don’t see it but Kalick calls it the black eyed being, it hasn’t attacked him since he tried to set it on fire, but it lurks.

So you would believe me? I am glad someone else has seen ghosts with confirmation from another person. I’m always alone when I see them.
The two girls are like 10 and 6, I tell them they can do whatever they want, but cannot come in my room. I keep my bedroom door shut once it’s dark out. My daughter sleeps with me since hubby is 3rd shift and I am physically hurt right now, but they sit in her room overnight, we turn her tv on for them.
The mom, she stays downstairs in the corner I used to sit in where my computer is. I don’t ■■■■ with her. She stays away from me, fine, she’s never come upstairs when I’m alone, but like I said, they can’t get through doors.
I see ghosts, did for many years, random people.
Proper medication made the ghosts go away. They don’t bother me anymore
I didn’t become sz until a bad drug interaction with anesthesia when I was 11 for surgery. I was 40 pounds and the guy gave me 4 if bags because I wouldn’t go under, basically, he fried my ■■■■.
I had been complaining since like age 3 of seeing ghosts, so the doctors said those weren’t sz related. My files are a hoot to read from that psychiatrist, cause I never was medicated until age 21, after 3 bouts of post partum psychosis in 4 years. They decided that since the homicidal and suicidal tendencies were worse after those it was med time.
No evidence for the existence of ghosts so probably no ghosts. I do like a good ghost story though. 
Just curious, are we allowed to discuss ghosts but not aliens? Maybe people don’t get as distressed about ghosts as they do aliens. I don’t know. It does feel like a fine line though when we’re swapping these paranormal narratives here on the forum.

Do you still see ghosts after you put on med?
I like a good alien conspiracy.
Ghosts are okay, but the idea of different life forms out there on other planets fascinates me.
I don’t believe in ghosts at all, but a schizophrenic is just as capable of seeing fictional, imaginary beings and other unexplainable phenomena as anyone else. The problem that we cant avoid is that our credibility might be compromised and doubted because of our disease.

Yup, saw them before and after. I knew they were different them my hallucinations and voices, those are much scarier than ghosts I guess. Since being off meds again though, the hallucinations are different than before, but meds didn’t help with them at all, all meds did was make things worse or I just was a zombie and scared shitless and unable to live. I’ll take my chances till I get into my drug trial.

I guess it is hard to say. I don’t see things but I have seen a ghost. I hear voices though.
