Mania. What is it?

What does it feel like?

It entails a good mood. You are happy. Emotions accentuate. Like you get connected to music very emotionally. This is it. I can’t say with certainty if this is the case, but I have been waking up happy these days.

Also, there is some euphoria and grandiosity. Some. It is not a full blown manic episode.

Yeah that sounds like some mild hypomania. Colors get brighter and stuff as well. It’s when you get grandiose ideas then it’s more

Yeah, I am trying to get Amisulpride from a doctor tomorrow. I like the feeling, but am afraid it may transpire into a full blown episode.

Well that sounds like me yesterday and today. Maybe I’m bipolar

I’m sza, bipolar type. My biggest bothersome symptom caused by my MI is insomnia. Ie., difficulty falling asleep, combined with difficulty staying asleep. And then, dragging around, feeling absolutely exhausted all the next day.

I’m am the same way with insomnia and tiredness, but before my meds I would spend spend, and spend when I got paid then be depressed cause I had no money left to do anything.

That’s one thing I don’t do is overspend. (Thankyou God).

Well my meds are working now a days everything is boring. On the positive note I still have all my check lol.

I would describe mania as being in overdrive for one reason or another and is often followed by a time of depression or low energy which I think is a direct result of the former. What goes up must come down

After seeing everyone’s responses I don’t think I am manic. I just have good days and bad days.
